Meet Dr. Leeson

Christopher Leeson, DC

A Few Words From the Doctor:

Hello! I’m the chiropractor and owner of Balance Chiropractic & Wellness, having established the business in Autumn of 2021. I’ve traveled a long road to get to this point and I’m happy to share some snapshots of it for curious minds.

From an early age I had known I wanted to work with my hands but I didn’t know what to do with them. Well, at least until I was introduced to my mom’s chiropractor, Dr. Kennedy, in 2007, when I was 14. I had heard about massage therapists and physical therapists which were great professions, but didn’t make a personal connection with anything until I heard things literally click into place with chiropractic. Since then, my first year of high school and onward, I tailored my academia toward learning about this new and wonderous way of healing using the body itself.

I graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 2011, proceeding on to gain my bachelors degree of Biology in 2015 at West Chester University while making many friends along the way. Following my graduation, I packed up and headed north for almost four years to New York Chiropractic College. Though the classes and exams were tough, I would finally get my Doctorate of Chiropractic in Winter 2018.

Through school, I tried to accumulate as many metaphorical tools into my toolbelt as I could. It is my belief that every patient is unique, that there may be some that require specific finesse or particular adjustments for maximal benefit. Personally, I would like to be able to provide that level of flexibility for those who need it. While I am very confident in my skills for treating any area of the body, I’d say my specialty is in working with neck and headache issues.

Education Background

New York Chiropractic College – Graduate Class Winter 2018
Whereas some chiropractic colleges complete their doctorate degrees after 4 years, NYCC’s program completed it in just over 3 years. With everything from in-depth studies in anatomy and radiology to extensive hours learning proper diagnosis and chiropractic technique, the evidence-based curriculum concentrated and distilled down effective doctors. Dr. Leeson Completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic after the school’s 10 trimesters of accelerated courses on Dec. 1, 2018.

West Chester University – Graduate Class 2015
Known for a variety of its specialties, WCU was Dr. Leeson’s choice for undergraduate studies. Knowing the human body was to be a specialty, he focused acute concentration on Biology while spreading out the rest of his elective education in a broad array of courses. In Spring of 2015, the not-yet-Dr. Leeson attained his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology.

Daniel Boone High School – Graduate Class 2011
Dr. Leeson grew up around Amity township after his family moved to Douglassville in 2000. He had spent these years initially getting introduced to chiropractic and beginning to set his sights on elective courses that would best suit him and his studies in the future. For the most part, this is where the Journey of Dr. Leeson began academically.
